The King is Coming

We read in John 3 that Nicodemus came to Jesus at night and Jesus told him that if a person is not born again he cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven. He also said to him that, that which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of spirit is spirit. So we need to be born again, you probably heard. We need to be spiritually born so that the Holy Spirit of God can guide us into all righteousness and in all truth. That is the only way that we will get into the Kingdom of Heaven. We need to be born again.

God’s technology is way beyond human technology. We have only just found out about GPS. God’s Holy Spirit is similar to GPS, it’s just better. God’s GPS is the only GPS that can take us into the Kingdom of Heaven, without that you will not get there. You won’t get there with a map, the Bible won’t take you there. There is no map that can take you to Heaven, only Gods GPS, which is the Holy Spirit. Your destination is in the wilderness. Nobody knows where it is and nobody know how to get there. The only way you will get there is through Gods GPS, which is His Holy Spirit that must come and live in you and guide you into all truth. Forget the maps, forget the other people, they don’t know where they are going. You cannot follow anybody else. The only way you will get there is listening and following the instructions of Gods GPS, the Holy Spirit. If you don’t have Gods GPS, the Holy Spirit you won’t reach the destination, its totally impossible.

How do you get Gods GPS? There is only one way. You must be born again. The only way Jesus will give it to you, is when you obey Him. He says: repent of your sins, get rid of sin. Repent of yourself Jesus says: If anyone wishes to come after Me let him deny himself, pick up his cross daily and follow Me. Follow Me, the GPS of God. When Jesus comes into my life, when I have repented of sin, He puts His Spirit inside of me. But there is a condition, Jesus said: Repent and be baptized. Many people don’t want to be baptized. They say it is not necessary, that’s why they don’t have the GPS. That’s why they don’t have the Holy Spirit of God, they have never been filled with the Holy Spirit of God. You need the Holy Spirit if you want to get to your destination, the Spirit of God which was sent to guide us into all truth. Repent and be baptized and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit Acts 2:38. That is written, as that Peter said to them on the day of Pentecost. On the day of Pentecost, Gods GPS was given to the Christians. Jesus said: Go to Jerusalem and wait until you receive POWER, that power is the HOLY SPIRIT.

When Jesus comes and lives inside of you by His Spirit, He will speak to you. If you do wrong, He will speak to you, He will say: No! Remember even the best driver will take a wrong turn. What happens with your GPS if you are driving along and you take the wrong turn? It directs you back on course. If you don’t listen you will never get to get there. The same with God’s GPS, the Holy Spirit, inside of us. You need a signal all the time. What breaks the signal of the Holy Spirit? SIN. You got sin in your life the signal is broken. Some people think that they can get there on their own they use a map, they read the Bible, they ask friends, they ask the pastor, they go to a prophet they pay him he has to direct them. There is only one Way and that is through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

God gives each of us individually a portion of His Spirit. I cannot use yours and you cannot use mine. That’s why He says we read in Matthew 25 about the 5 wise and the 5 foolish virgins. Those with the extra oil they had the GPS of God, the Holy Spirit the others had the maps or friends and teachings. They didn’t have contact with God, they thought they were okay, they were far of the mark. When the Bridegroom came, they didn’t have oil in their lamps.

How do I maintain that clear contact, that direction of the Holy Spirit? Through OBEDIENCE. Because Jesus puts His Spirit in my heart but the moment there is sin in me He says: Your sins and your iniquities made a barrier between Me and you because My arm is not to short to help, My ear is not to short to hear but your SINS and your INIQUITIES have formed a wall between Me and you. Jesus puts His Spirit in us. He won’t take it away, it’s stays there. But the moment we sin it gets clogged up, you loose that signal of the Holy Spirit. Many people have lost the signal, maybe you have lost the signal of the Holy Spirit maybe you never had it.

If you want to get to heaven my friend, you need Gods GPS, the Holy Spirit, you will not get there without it. You need to repent of sin. If you have once follow Jesus and you have lost your direction, lost the signal of the Holy Spirit inside of you, guiding you, repent now. Go on your knees, say: Lord Jesus I repent! and put everything away from you. Another thing that clog’s your GPS signal is your TV. Any impurity, anything that is more important than our relationship with Jesus forms a barrier between us and God and He stops speaking to us. Our iniquities separate us from God. God gives us His Spirit living inside of us, continuously speaking. But if we clog up the signal with sins, disobedience, unwillingness and our own interests we won’t hear Him. We won’t reach the destination. Only the Holy Spirit in me can guide me into righteousness, show me the way that Jesus wants to take me, to make me fruitful in His Kingdom. But if I refuse to follow the directions and if I follow my own mind or the map I won’t get there my friends.

Do you have God’s GPS? Do you have the Holy Spirit of God inside of you, do you hear Him or is it clogged up? Is your signal okay? Ifs not, it is time to make work with it now. Jesus is coming, very few are ready. Most of the church does not have oil in the lamp. Either they don’t have a GPS of God or they just don’t have a signal. They are happy to sit around with maps and friends and they are lost. Clear the air, get it clean between you and Jesus, get your relationship right. Without a relationship with Christ, He will say to us: Go away I never knew you.

How is your GPS my friend? Is it working today, are you following?

There is a vast misconception amongst Christians about the meaning of spiritual discernment. There is virtually zero spiritual discernment left in the church today. All evaluation is done on basis of scripture, doctrine and human insight. It is all based on the physical the mind what does the pastor think what do the brothers think, how do you feel about that, which scripture. It is not based on impartation of knowledge through the Spirit of God it is all in the physical in the sensual in the mind based on knowledge and based on how does it line up with the scripture. That is not discernment, that is just evaluation according to rules and personal prejudice. When we talk about spiritual discernment it is impartation of unknown things, unknown nobody knows about it, it is hidden, nobody knows but GOD REVEALS it, it’s revelation knowledge and that is what spiritual discernment is.

 We read in 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.”

 The Gospel that Paul preached, he did not receive from people nobody told him that, he never read it anywhere, nowhere. He received it in a revelation from Jesus Christ. Directly after Paul came to Christ when Jesus met him on the Damascus road he went too Arabia for three and a half years and there God revealed the gospel to him by His Spirit. He did not hear it from people and that was the gospel that Paul wrote about. Spiritual revelation comes from the Holy Spirit it doesn’t come from reading books. It comes from a direct relationship with Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit living in you.

 So when we talk about spiritual discernment it means when God imparts knowledge to you from outside which you did not enquire through your eyes or your ears or your senses it is given into your Spirit by the Spirit of God. Now we read in 1 Corinthians 2:14 “But a natural cannot accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.” And that is why 99,99% of church people today, of Bible believers will tell you it is not written, it cannot be written. If you receive revelation from God, it cannot be written it is unknown, previously unknown that God revealed to you. Then you are talking about revelation knowledge and about discernment. You cannot acquired it somewhere, you cannot buy a book from the bookstore or go and listen to somebody’s teachings. You go and listen to the Holy Spirit in you, if you have the Holy Spirit. does

That is why the people don’t want the Holy Spirit they just don’t accept it. They accept everything on the sensory level which they can read and understand. They are natural people, they are not spiritual people. It is written that a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit and that is why people don’t know Jesus, they are not spiritual. Many ask: Which Jesus?

 They will tell you which version of the Bible they read but they don’t know which Jesus they serve, because they have never meat Him. Their faith is just based on the Book, the Bible. We read in 1 Corinthians 2:15 “But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one.” If God impart something to you, it is knowledge that nobody knows. There is no proof of it, there is no way to proof it from the Bible or disproof it from the Bible or whatever. It is knowledge imparted that is spiritual discernment, that is spiritual revelation and therefore it cannot be appraised. People cannot say its true or it is not true. The only way that they can know whether it is true or not true, is through revelation from Christ, because God sees in the hearts and He knows the hidden motives and He reveals. He reveals things that exist through His Spirit, He reveals the unknown. That is true spiritual discernment and that is true spiritual discernment which few people have because they are not spiritual they are carnal. They operate on the mind level, the sensory level the knowledge level.

 If we are children of God and we follow Jesus Christ we need to have the Spirit of Christ in us. We need to listen to His Spirit other wise we cannot follow Him. If we have the Spirit of Christ, we hear the Words of Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit and that is why Paul wrote in Romans 8:14 “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God..” Jesus says My sheep know My voice and they follow Me. Those who do not hear Him or do not listen have a problem. They need to get to Jesus you cannot fake it. They need to start praying and ask Him Lord reveal Yourself to me and then only will they have spiritual knowledge and spiritual discernment.

It is sad but very true that many people who profess to be Christians do not know Jesus Christ, they only know scriptures. They do not have an intimate knowledge of Jesus Christ, no relationship. We need to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ or else we will never get to know Him.

 Paul wrote in Philippians 3:7-11 “But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of KNOWING CHRIST JESUS my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I MAY GAIN CHRIST, 9 and may be FOUND IN HIM, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I MAY KNOW HIM and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”

Paul only had one thing in mind and that was to know Jesus, his King, Master, Lord and Savior, that was his soul objective. To get to know Christ more and more and better and better every day. And that should be our objective, our yearning in our soul should be to get to know Jesus Christ better every day, to be in a relationship with Him every day; to hear the Master’s voice. The Bible has taken the place of Christ in the heart of many people, the Bible is living in the heads and they don’t have Jesus Christ in their hearts. That is a sad thing, because if we do not know Christ and He does not know us He will one day say to us: Go away I never knew you.

 Once we invite Christ into our lives, He will start changing us through our obedience to Him. When we repent of sin and we invite Jesus into our lives, His Spirit comes and dwells in us and He starts working on us. The Spirit of God inside of us speaks to us and instructs us in righteousness, which we must obey. If we refuse to obey it we will not be changed into His likeness, we will not become like Jesus wants us to be.

 Jesus will work on us we will suffer through what we learn because we need to be changed. Our thinking has to be changed, we must learn to trust God. He will chastise us. Job was chastised and it was only after his chastisement that Job got to know God. God allowed satan to destroy Job but only his life was preserved, Job never sinned against God but at the end Job answered God. We read in Job 42:2 “I know that You can do all things” It is only when you have been through troubled time with God that you know that God can do all things, when He has delivered you and brought you through, then you know I know: My Savior lives. He says in Job 42:2- “I know that Thou can do all things, and that no purpose of Thine can be thwarted. 3 Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have declared that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. 4 Hear, now, and I will speak; I will ask Thee, and Thou instruct me. 5 I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees Thee; 6 Therefore I retract, and I repent in dust and ashes.” Job became quiet before God. He said: “I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, from hearsay, I have heard from Thee but now my eyes have seen The now I will be quiet.” When you live in the presence of God, you get to know Jesus better and better every day your words become less and your own wisdom goes away, you just realize: “I know nothing.” The wisdom of Christ surpasses all things.  But you got to go through difficult times you got to subject yourself to God. Some Christians don’t go through difficult times because they are not obeying Jesus Christ. If you obey Christ and you lay down your own interests, if you focus on Christ you will have tribulations you will have trials. You stop doing what you want to do it will be tough on your flesh.

 My friends if we do not get to know Jesus Christ, get to know Him intimately and have a yearning in our soul to know Christ more and more every day we shall never know Him and very definitely He will say to us: Go away I never knew you. He says: Seek Me and you will find Me, draw closer to Me and I will draw closer to you.

Our idea of usefulness and being equipped or readiness for service is quite different from God’s idea of usefulness. Our idea is you got to be indoctrinated, educated or taught, you must have a Book in your head, you need to be qualified, you need to be knowledgeable, you must be equipped with all kinds of skills like being able to speak well. You must go to Bible school so that you can do the job or else you are not useful. That was not Jesus’ idea.

 Jesus called ordinary people, despised by the world just fisherman, nothing special. He called them. He didn’t call them for their talents or for their wisdom or their knowledge. He called them because inside of them their was willingness. He handpicked them.

 Jesus said no you come here I guide you. I will guide you every step of the way and you will never become clever. You will only become useful the more broken you become. We want perfection in skills and in knowledge. Christ wants our perfection in our knowledge of Him. The prerequisite for discipleship is: deny yourself, just lay yourself down as dead. Deny your wisdom that you carry around in your head, your Bible knowledge, your skills everything. Jesus will not use that which we have to offer. All Jesus wants of us is brokenness and willingness. If we are full of ourselves and our own knowledge our own insight and our own abilities we are not useful for the Kingdom of God. God must first break us down, teach us how utterly useless we are.

Jesus didn’t display His own initiatives. He only did what the Father told Him to do. He only said what the Father told Him to say. That is why the Words of Christ are not His own Words. They are the Words of God Almighty. People that disregard the Words of Christ are foolish enough to think that they will get away with it. Those are the Words of God my friend Jesus said nothing on His own initiative.

When Jesus said follow Me, He also meant that, that we must follow Him. Deny ourselves our own knowledge everything self and put Jesus on the throne of your heart. When Jesus says to you follow Me, He means: deny yourself, deny your mind your clever ideas and I will come and put My Spirit inside of you and then you use your ears and you start to listen getting spiritual ears and you start listening to the Holy Spirit and if you refuse to listen to the Holy Spirit then you useless to the Kingdom of God.

That is a terrible blow for clever people. Most of them never learned that and most of them never ever become useful for the Kingdom of God. Only those who empty themselves, like Christ emptied Himself utterly, totally, those who empty themselves are useful for the Kingdom of God. Our brokenness and our willingness when we lay down ourselves our own ambitions our own life everything us, only that makes us a suitable instrument in the Hand of God because then only are we willing to listen to the Holy Spirit and obey. When we still have our own ideas, we are not interested in what Jesus says and we will not go where He sends us, we will not listen to His Holy Spirit.

If god tells people something and they don’t find it in the Bible they refuse to accept it. So do you expect God to speak to you when you are wise in your own mind and you will not listen to the Holy Spirit of Christ inside of you. Do you think He will come and argue with you? No my friend, He will just ignore you. Because He is God, He is God Almighty. How do you know it is Jesus speaking to you? You’ve got to trust Him, if you do not trust Him you will never follow Him. And that is why so extremely few, few, few will enter the Kingdom of Heaven because very few are willing to deny themselves trust Christ and follow Him.

  Paul knew this, we read in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 “And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.”

 The only way that we get to know the power of God is when we deny ourselves. When we fully put our trust in Christ when we empty ourselves of ourselves and come at the foot of the cross, bow down before Jesus and say: Lord please teach me, Lord please show me. We must empty ourselves of ourselves and trust in Christ fully. When we are still full of self, Christ has not place in us. We must empty this vessel, Empty your mind and then only can the Spirit of God come in and guide us. The Spirit of God will not compete with our spirit or any other spirit. We must avail ourselves to Christ and then He will come in His fullness and in His power and then the power of God will work through us. The decision is ours, very few, very few will enter the Kingdom of Heaven very few are willing to take up their cross daily, deny themselves and follow Jesus Christ.

When Jesus calls us He gives us authorities to execute the work that He commands us to do. Many believers do not exercise these authorities and many of them don’t have these authorities. We read in Mark 16:15-18 Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 “He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 “These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My Name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

 Now why is this not happening? There is a very specific reason why this is not happening. The reason is that believers refuse to put themselves under the authority of Christ. They refuse to obey Christ. They refuse to get rid of their sin they don’t repent of sin properly. Many of them refuse to be baptized, they refuse to do what Jesus said, they say that Jesus’ Words are impractical, it doesn’t work. They will quote you the scriptures, Paul said this and Paul said that. The amazing thing is that the WORDS OF JESUS nobody can TWIST, so because they can’t twist them they DISREGARD them. What is the result of this? They’ve got no power in their lives, because Christ isn’t in their lives. If we submit ourselves to Christ then the power of Christ exercises through us but if we don’t submit to Him, His power will not exercise through us.

 We read in Acts 19:14-17 “Seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this (they were casting out demons). 15 And the evil spirit answered and said to them, “I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” 16 And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived in Ephesus; and fear fell upon them all and the name of the Lord Jesus was being magnified.”

 Why did these demons grab hold of these guys? Because you can fool men, you can tell another guy you are a Christian and you can quote your verses at him, you can tell him which date you were saved but you cannot fool satan. The devil knows who has got the power of God in him. These demons knew. The demons in that man knew that these guys were just taking a chance. Many Christians are taking a chance.  They say: “In the Name of Jesus!” but they don’t have Jesus inside of them. If you do not submit yourself to Christ and obey Christ the devil knows it and you have no authority over him. That is why many Christians have no authority over sin they are living in sin, they are partners in crime with satan and the devil knows it. If you are partying with the devil today you cannot chase him away tomorrow, he is going to laugh at you like these guys. You can quote him scriptures. He knows them too, he knows the scriptures but satan knows where the power of God is. Unless you submit yourself to Christ you are not under the authority of Christ. Many Christians refuse to submit themselves to Christ they’ve got no power in their lives, no authority, because it is not our own authority it is the authority of Jesus Christ. It is only when we lay down ourselves and obey Christ that the authority of Christ can work through us. In us we have no power but Jesus in us has overcame satan and he knows it. So you can take a chance at him, you can say: ”I will smite you with the sword of the Word satan, in the Name of Jesus get out of here,” like so many of these TV preachers do. But when they come up to the real devil they will be running like the seven sons of Sceva my friend. You need the power of Jesus in you to overcome sin. The reason why people are not overcoming sin and the devil is because they have not repented of their sins. They are still living in sin. they are accomplice with satan, they know scriptures, o yes, but they don’t know Christ.

It is only when you obey Christ and do exactly as Jesus said that the power of God comes into your life and then only are you a son of God. Just by believing in Jesus doesn’t make you a son of God, it makes you a believer and satan is also a believer, but he is not a follower and neither is he obedient to Christ.

 So how do you get the power of God into your life so the power of God will work through you and satan recognises the authority of Christ in you?

 We read in James 4:7-10 “Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.”

 That’s how it works. Many people say that they are born again they have never cried before God for their sins they have never mourned before the Lord in repentance and said: “Lord I am so sorry for what I have done wrong, Lord I need you in my life please save me Lord Jesus please deliver me from this wickedness inside of me,” No, they want to be one foot in the world and one foot in heaven. You cannot be like that, satan knows you and he is your mate. But he is not really your mate because he is going to tear you to peaces and you will be disappointed my friend when you come to heaven’s door and Jesus says to you: Go away I never knew you. God knows and the devil knows but many people are blind folded, they think they are saved but they are not saved. They don’t have the power of Christ in them nor do they have no authority over the devil because they have never submitted themselves to Jesus Christ. Submit yourself to Christ, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Then you will have power over satan.

Few people who call themselves Christians really believe Jesus, they believe in Jesus. They believe He is the Son of God, He is the Savior and if I believe in Jesus I will be saved. Merely believing in Jesus doesn’t save us my friends, a relationship with Jesus saves us. When Jesus walked this earth many people believed in Him and even Satan believes in Jesus, but he does not obey Jesus. And ever so often Jesus said to people: “You do not believe Me”, they did not believe that He was the Son of God, they did not believe that He was who He said that He was, when He walked this earth. Even today people do not believe that Jesus is really Lord and King and Master. They believe He is the Savior and that is where it stops. If you really belief that Jesus is Lord that He is King and that He is God Almighty, He is the Judge, you will do what He says.

 People believe in the Bible yes they read the Bible. If you tell them they need to be in a relationship with Jesus they ask: ”Which Jesus?“ It is because they don’t know Jesus and they do not believe Jesus, they do not believe the Words of Jesus. Jesus said: If you love Me, keep My commandments and I will love you and My Father will love you and I will come and abide with you and I will reveal Myself to you.” The reason why people do not have a revelation of Christ is because they don’t know Him. It is just because they don’t believe Him, they only believe in Him. He has never become a reality in their lives and that is why when they read the commandments of Jesus, the Words that Jesus spoke and then say” It’s nice but it is not really practical. How can you turn the other cheek, how is it possible to do what Jesus said?” Jesus said My commandments are not difficult, they are easy. He said: ”My yoke is soft” because Jesus helps you carry that yoke but people do not believe Jesus. They don’t believe that He is the Judge, they don’t believe that He is the Door through which we enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Nobody else will allow you in there my friend because Jesus said: “I will say to many on that day: Go away I never knew you.” Jesus said man will not live from bread alone but from every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Every Word that Jesus spoke and that is written, is what  we will live of but not only that but we will live from revelation from Him. He said; “ I will send you another Comforter the Holy Spirit who will teach you in all truth and will show you things to come.” People say: “No it is all written, everything that God said is written in the Bible” it is because they don’t believe Jesus. They believe what they can read but they don’t believe Jesus. If you believe Jesus you will believe what He said.

 He said to the people we read in John 5:39 “ you search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life, but you refuse to come to Me to have eternal life.” People read the scriptures but refuse to have a real relationship with Jesus. Neither do they obey His words as written in the scriptures.

 He said to the disciples also: Who do you say I am? And then Peter said to Him: “Thou art the Son of the Living God” and He said: “Simon Bar Jonah flesh and blood did not reveal that to you but My Father who is in heaven.” Even the disciples did not believe.  Philip said to Him: “ Lord show us the Father” and He said: “Philip I have been with you for so long and how do you not know Me because he who has seen Me has seen the Father.” Even the disciples had doubt in their minds if He was really the Son of God.

 The question is: Do you believe IN Jesus or do you believe Jesus? If you believe Jesus then you will hear Him speaking to you right now saying to you: “My son, My daughter give Me your heart, let Me come into your heart.” If Jesus is not in your heart He is still outside. The Bible talks about Jesus but you need Jesus in your heart, you need a relationship with Jesus. If you don’t know Jesus, you’ve got a problem. It is no good just believing in Him, you must have a relationship with Him because that is the only way you are going to get to know Jesus, through a relationship, not through your Bible. Take your Bible and put it down one side and then Jesus will reveal Himself to you. He will explain the Bible to you as well. But people refuse Jesus they hang onto the scriptures and that’s why they never get to know Jesus and He will say to them: Go away I never knew you.

 Do you believe in Jesus or do you believe Jesus? Are you following Jesus? Are you doing what He said or you just believe in Him. Think about it.

There is only one way that you get to know Jesus and that is through a relationship. He said: “Call nobody on this earth your Teacher because One is your Teacher and that is Christ, Himself.” He is the only One who can teach you about Himself and the way He does that is through a relationship. If you are not in a relationship with Jesus you will only get to know about Him, you will never get to know Him and you need to know Him.

 If you don’t know Jesus you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven my friend. There is only one-way and that is to say: “Lord come into my heart and teach me.” You must invite Him in and you must ask Him to teach you and He will. He will take you seriously because He loves you and He wants to make you part of His Kingdom. Jesus is Lord and He is the King of His Kingdom.  He is inviting us to become part of that Kingdom, but the only way that you can be part of the Kingdom is if you serve the King. He calls servants. He does not call managers, or people that believe in Him. You have to submit yourself to Christ and you must follow Him. You must invite Jesus into your heart with your whole heart say: “Lord I want to serve You, Lord I want to be part of Your Kingdom, please teach me, use me.” If you don’t do that you will never be useful for the Kingdom of God, you will never be part of it and you are not going to heaven my friend. The only way is to be guided and to be taught by Jesus Himself. The way you do that is you start meaning business with Jesus and you start talking to Him, you say: “Lord show me Your ways, teach me Your ways. Lord I am seeking.”

You and you seek Christ you won’t get to know Him by reading your Bible my friend You get to know Jesus through a relationship with Him, He will teach you, He will certainly teach you. If you say: “Lord I need more faith”  He will teach you faith because He will make sure that you get into a situation where nothing and nobody can help you and then He will get you out of it, when you ask Him to help you. And then after that you will know God helped you, you will have experience of His helping hand, a testimony. Your testimony is your relationship with Jesus Christ and that is why many people don’t have a testimony. They call themselves soul winners, they are not soul winners they are indoctrinators or converters. You can indoctrinate a person, you can put him into the mould, you can teach a dog tricks but you cannot change a dog into something else. The only way we are changed is through a relationship with Christ and that relationship must grow every day. Jesus is the only One who can teach you.

The only way you will know not to fear is when you go into a fear situation and you say: “Lord help me!” and He takes you out and you get confidence. Then you say like David said: “I shall not fear because God is at my right hand”, why? He was in fear situations and God saw him through. He cried out to God and God stretched out His hand and He helped him. You don’t get to know Jesus through reading about Him. We read how God delivered David, how He delivered all the heroes of the Bible, read it in Hebrews 11 all those heroes of faith how God delivered them because they believed. But you only learn through your own experience, you only get to know Christ, His voice, to trust Him through your relationship with, Him through walking with Him day and night every moment of your life.

People will use anything to prove their own ideology or their own theory; their own doctrines and that is why there are so many diverse doctrines from the same Bible. The only truth or the only way to find truth is to go to Jesus and to say: “Lord please show me the truth.” Otherwise we end up with a situation where as so often happens. One person reads something into a scripture and he passes it on to everybody and they all believe the same nonsense.

 I want to talk about the case of the Bereans. It is generally used as an argument that the Bereans were superior in their Bible knowledge and therefore they accepted the gospel when preached by Paul. It’s not true. The only difference with the Bereans was that they were NOBLE-MINDED, they were open-minded. Wherever Paul went, he went to the synagogue and started reasoning with the the Jews from the scriptures to prove that Jesus was the Messiah.

We read in Acts 17:2-5 “And according to Paul’s custom, he went to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and giving evidence that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I am proclaiming to you is the Christ.” 4 And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of the God-fearing Greeks and a number of the leading women. 5 But the Jews, becoming jealous and taking along some wicked men from the market place, formed a mob and set the city in an uproar; and attacking the house of Jason,”

We read in Acts 17:10-12 “The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now these were more NOBLE-MINDED than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.”

The difference was not in their scripture knowledge, it was in their mindset, they were willing to explore. When we have pre-conceived ideas about anything we learn nothing. If you have pre-conceived ideas about anything, your knowledge of scripture, not even the Holy Spirit will tell you differently because we idolized our own ideas. Many of us are bigots and we believe we are right according to our own understanding, that is why it is also written. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Because the moment that you lean on your own understanding you run into trouble. We need to come with an open mind and ask Jesus to teach us, then we learn.

Jesus did not come to condemn anybody and He never did so when He walked this earth. The will of God is known, the wages of sin is death. Everybody knows that, they just don’t talk about it. People who do sinful things seek recognition for there perversions. We can find acceptance of people, we can change the rules, we can change our courts, we can change the laws of the country; we can do whatever we like but it doesn’t change the will of God.

God is pro choice.

He said to Adam: “The day that you eat of that tree you will die” and he died. That is the one thing that God gave all of us, the ability choose, He will not stop us. God will not stop us from doing wrong. We have the choice. Jesus said do not resist an evil man. He will not stop you from going to war, he will not stop you form doing abortion, He will not stop you from murdering somebody, He will not stop you from being a homosexual, God will not stop you in any way because He is God, He is pro choice. He gives us the choice with a consequence and as long as we are willing to take the consequence we can exercise our choice! God sees every iniquity and He forgets nothing, He forgives if we repent and we come to Him with sorrow. Not sorrow for sin but with remorse for what we have done wrong against what He has commanded. If we do not repent  all sin is written up and we will be judged. The judgment of God is fair over all sins, God forgets nothing absolutely nothing and He will judge us.

God judged Sodom and Gomorrah, He destroyed it, because of the sodomites that lived there. That was their choice and they bore the consequence of their sin. God will not stop us at all. No one sin is really bigger than the other sin. Sin and transgression, which is against the will of God will keep us out of heaven. Jesus requires perfect obedience to Him, as a pre requisite for entering into His Kingdom. If I do not bow down to Jesus Christ and accept Him as my Lord and Savior and do exactly what He commanded me to do I will not enter into His Kingdom. Because He is King and He is Lord and He will not allow any rebels to go in there and He will not excuse any sin. His will and His Words are written. Some people want to go and ask God is it OK to fornicate. They have met this little girlfriend and now they are living together and they say: “I have prayed about it.“ God will not answer you my friend. When you come in judgment He will say: “It was written” and He makes no exception. Why should He make an exception for you? So whatever you call it, sexual orientation, or your choice to abort, that’s your choice but we must know the consequences. You can change your Bible, you can write yourself a new gay Bible or whatever type of Bible you like. But it won’t change God, it will not change Gods expressed will. If we sin Him we will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We can gain acceptance by the whole world but Jesus will not accept us and the wrath of God will be exercised on us because God is God and God does not change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

We read in Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”

In the first place the wrath of God is revealed against all unrighteousness of men and also against those who suppress the truth because there are some of them who twist the truth. They go and re-write the rules to suite there own diversions, the wrath of God is against those people. There are many people who have had abortions, many woman, and they never have babies afterwards. There are people who are involved in bisexual and homosexual relationships, some of those ladies get uterus cancer. The wrath of God is revealed against mankind. We can gain acceptance from each other but God does not prove.  Jesus never judged anybody. He never told a sinner: “Man you are bad” no, He loved him and we should love each other because we are all the same, we are just human, we are wicked. I am wicked, but I force myself to obey Christ. I force myself away from sin. I force myself to obey Jesus Christ. It is by my will that I do that, I force myself it is my choice.

God is pro choice, He has given us all a choice, but we will bear the consequences. And if we want to go wrong God will help us. We read in Romans 1:24 “Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.” So if we want wrong things. God will put, allow those lusts to come into us, demons to help us to do those wrong things so that we can thoroughly enjoy it because the end of it is the same place, we will enter hell but it is our choice. We are just exercising our choice against the expressed will of God and we will reap what we have sown. Also said in Romans 1:26 “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural.” God will give us whatever we want. People want to do lustful things and God allows them He empowers them they’ve got the technology to manufacture drugs and stuff to fulfill their lusts. The new “god” of mankind is cialis and viagra. People want to be lustful and they want to spend their time with fornication, they are empowered to do what is wrong.

But friends, in the end we have exercised our choice and all Jesus will say to us is: “I can’t help you. It is written, you knew, you decided and your end is according to your decision.” It is our choice people. It is my choice to follow Jesus, to deny myself to obey Him to pick up my cross every day, to say to myself: ”Man, you are going to follow Jesus today and you are going to do what pleases Him.” What the next guy does is his business. I can warn him but I can’t help him. We, by our own decision must either follow Jesus, turn away from sin, or we must do what we like and bear the consequences.

Many Christians are lonely, depressed, they say that they feel useless. Most probably it is because they are useless. If we keep on receiving and receiving and we don’t hand out then we have reason to become depressed. Paul wrote in Romans 14:7-8 “ For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; 8 for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.”

Many of us just live for ourselves, we don’t share with others. Jesus called us to be His witnesses, so we have reason to feel depressed when we don’t share. If we just sit there in a corner and wait for something to happen or sit and watch that TV until whatever time. and we must really come under conviction because we have done nothing for Jesus. The Holy Spirit will convict us. We are called to glorify Christ and to bear fruit.

Jesus said John 15:8 “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.” We are here to bear fruit and to testify about Jesus. No wonder that when we become inactive we become depressed. Our soul and spirit is unhappy inside of us, everything is wrong. When we start testifying for Jesus, what He has done for us, then rivers of living water start flowing through us. But when we don’t give out what God has given to us then it becomes like a stale pond it is just no good. That is why people become depressed in churches. They just sit there and they receive. They are so used to sit in front of the TV and be entertained that they don’t realized that happiness is sharing and testifying. You don’t need to be a preacher or to be educated, you can just be yourself and you can testify for Jesus.

People network on the Internet nowadays. There is such a wonderful opportunity to go on the Internet, places like Face book and you can reach out there. You can post scriptures, you can post what is on your mind or your testimony. It is so wonderful that when you start testifying you will find that there are other people that are blessed by your testimony and they will contact you. They will thank you that you shared and another persons will share with you. Before long you will have a whole network of people that you have reached out to, that are reaching back to you. There will be people who were in need and through your testimony they have found Jesus.

If we just sit there and we don’t testify we are most unhappy, we become despondent and depressed. The street of our day where you can go preach is not on the streets anymore. All the kids and even the old people like me we sit on the internet. There is so much trash on the Internet but we can proliferate it with the Good news of Jesus Christ and we should use that opportunity.

Start a blog, put your testimony on there and before long you will find out that there are many people that have come to Jesus because of your testimony. God has done things in your life that you need to share, you have forgotten about it. You didn’t share it, you maybe didn’t find the opportunity. It is much easier to testify on the Internet than to testify on the street. Let our Light shine. Post your testimony, somebody will read it and might come to Jesus because of that. We must use every opportunity to spread the Good news of Jesus Christ. It reminds me of that Gospel song that says:

"Must I go, and empty-handed,"
Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
Not one day of service give Him,
Lay no trophy at His feet?

”Must I go, and empty-handed?"
Must I meet my Savior so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him:
Must I empty-handed go?”

You don’t want to meet up with Jesus empty handed, you don’t need to my friend. You can just put your testimony out there on the Internet and it works while you are sleeping and you will be extremely blessed. Just by starting to reach out you will find how much blessing you yourself receive also. Suddenly you will find that the loneliness and the depression have left you because you will have a new purpose in life. The more you testify the more opportunity you will find to testify. The opportunities will just open up. There are so many, many opportunities. Once we start working then we start seeing more opportunities. I want to encourage every one, let your Light shine my friend. There are so many old people who are passive. Dear friend start testifying, let the love of Christ what He has given to you shine through, share it with the young people and it will give them courage also. The person who will be most blessed of all would be you.
